Teacher Centre – Registering with Class Cover
All teachers attend a personal face-to-face interview prior to placement
with a trained interviewer. These are held at our offices or at
recruitment events. Teachers will need to bring the following documents:
- Qualifications – evidence that you hold qualified teacher status (QTS)
- GTC Membership confirmation
- Teacher Number (DfES number)
- CV
- CRB Disclosure – All teachers are required to undergo a CRB Enhanced
Disclosure check. Where the teacher has an existing disclosure (within
six months) we will apply for portability. If the CRB is older than six
months or the teacher has been out of the workplace for more than three
months Class Cover will take out a new CRB.
- References – Teachers are required to provide details of at least two
referees, one of whom must be their previous/current employer and
ideally both who are able to comment directly on their performance in
the education field.
- Evidence of Child Protection Training – if carried out in the last three years.
- Identification – All teachers are required to provide at least 3 forms
of identification two of which must be from group A (one containing a
photograph) and if applicable one from group B. A further one item of
identification is required from Group C and must show a teachers current
address.
A: Valid passport and Visa/Permission to work
UK Driving Licence – photocard and paper section
Birth Certificate
EU Identity card
B: Marriage Certificate or Deed Poll document
C: P45/P60 Statement
Bank or Building Society Statement
Utility bill
Mortgage/Insurance Statement
Addressed Payslip
Correspondence from government departments i.e. Inland Revenue,
employment service
All Group C documents must be dated within 3 months
- 2 passport photographs
- National Insurance number
- Bank Details – for payroll purposes
