Compliance and Accounts Administration Assistant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Compliance and Accounts Administration Assistant to support our Head of Compliance within a busy education recruitment environment.

This role is key to ensuring that all candidates working with schools and nurseries meet the required safeguarding, compliance and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Accounts Dept and Head of Compliance across all aspects of education compliance and safeguarding
  • Processing application forms and managing DBS checks in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE) guidance
  • Completing ID, right-to-work and qualification checks for education professionals
  • Requesting, reviewing and chasing employment and safeguarding references
  • Accurately uploading and maintaining candidate records on the CRM system
  • Maintaining training, safeguarding and compliance records
  • Taking responsibility for Health and Safety procedures
  • Collating new starter information and setting candidates up on payroll
  • Providing general payroll and accounts support as required

The role is 3 days per week, with the flexibility to provide cover up to 5 days per week for several weeks throughout the year considered an advantage.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a methodical, organised approach, with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Microsoft Office skills are essential, and experience working with CRM systems or within education recruitment/compliance is desirable.
