EFL Teacher or CELTA Teacher or TESOL Teacher

Location: Crawley, West Sussex

Salary: from £140 p/day

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated EFL Teacher to join our supply team for our local client. The EFL Teacher will be responsible for planning, organising, and delivering English language lessons to students whose first language is not English.

My client school will provide support and course materials with plenty of planning time during the day.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs and proficiency levels of students.
  • Utilise a variety of teaching methodologies, resources, and technologies to facilitate language learning.
  • Create a supportive and inclusive learning environment that fosters students’ confidence and motivation to communicate in English.
  • Assess students’ language skills regularly through formative and summative assessments and provide constructive feedback to support their progress.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary projects and activities that integrate language learning with other subject areas.
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues to address individual learning needs and concerns.
  • Stay updated on current trends, research, and best practices in EFL teaching and incorporate them into instructional practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
  • TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language), TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages), or CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) certification.
  • Previous experience teaching English as a foreign language, preferably in a multicultural and multilingual setting.
  • Proficiency in English language teaching methodologies, curriculum development, and assessment techniques.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
